In endodontic area, there is a common issue for identifying the inserted files inside of the canals at the time of root treatment in periapical x-rays, particularly when more than three files are used in posterior teeth. The frequent ways of recognizing files are to use different sizes or types of instruments to be able to distinguishing them.

 

Dr. Ali Nankali has suggested a new method how to clarify the inserted files when more than three files are used. This method is very simple and based on the number of stoppers which are fixed on a file. Stoppers are radiopaque in x-rays and for this reason they help us distinguishing them quickly without having any problem .

 

The only requirement for applying  this method is to have enough space for usage of more than one stopper.
